Viva Talk documentation
Realtime multilingual translation for conversations in Viva Talk rooms and Zoom. Speak naturally while each participant listens in a chosen language and follows translated subtitles.
What Viva Talk does
Viva Talk is a conversation interpreter from Vixiv Agency. In a Viva Talk room or Zoom meeting, it listens to the active speaker, translates the conversation in realtime, and delivers translated speech and subtitles to participants.
The service is designed to keep translation out of the way of the meeting. The current product target is a 1–2 second translation delay, although actual performance depends on audio quality, network conditions, language pair, and speech patterns.
Quick start in a room or Zoom
- Open a Viva Talk room in your browser, or install/open Viva Talk from the Zoom Marketplace.
- In Zoom, open the Viva Talk app inside the meeting as the meeting organizer.
- Choose one language. You speak into the meeting in this language and hear translated speech in the same language.
- Review the data notice, then select Start translation. The organizer controls when meeting audio processing begins.
- Ask participants to open Viva Talk and select their own language for speaking and listening.
- While translation is active, Viva Talk locally mutes original audio from participants using another selected language.
- Select Stop translation when the translated conversation is no longer needed.
Translation requires a stable connection. In Zoom, the relevant meeting-content permission must also be enabled. If the app cannot connect, close and reopen it, confirm that realtime meeting content is allowed for the Zoom account, and try again.

Credit usage is charged to the room or Zoom organizer:
- One language pair: 1 credit per minute.
- Additional languages: each additional language adds 1 credit per minute. For example, 3 languages use 2 credits per minute.
- Same-language conversation: 0.25 credit per minute for transcription and summaries.
- One participant: approximately 0.03 credit per minute for transcription and summaries.
- Paused room: reduced voice usage based on the number of languages; video is not charged while the room is paused.
- Active video: +0.1 credit per minute for each active video stream.
- Zoom, one participant: approximately 0.03 credit per minute for transcription and summaries.
- Zoom, same language: 0.25 credit per minute for transcription and summaries.
- Zoom translation: 2 languages use 1 credit per minute; 3 languages use 2 credits per minute. Each additional target language adds 1 credit per minute.
- Zoom idle, waiting, or reconnecting: no credits are charged while there is no active speech or while Zoom RTMS is connecting or recovering.
Usage is measured continuously in short intervals, so the final amount may be fractional. Translated audio and subtitles are included in the applicable language-based rate.
Credits are delivered automatically after verified payment, normally within 5 minutes. If your balance is not updated, contact support@vixiv-agency.com with your account email and payment transaction ID. See the Terms of Service for purchase and refund conditions.
Data and privacy at a glance
Viva Talk is designed not to retain raw meeting audio. Concise generated meeting summaries are retained for up to 30 days so the organizer can review them and choose whether to share them with attendees; this does not store a full transcript. Text collection is otherwise disabled by default. An organizer may opt in to testing-data collection in account settings; translation text from meetings opened by that organizer may then be retained for up to seven days. Transient translation and room-chat records are subject to a one-day retention period.
Read the full Privacy Policy for data categories, providers, retention, and deletion requests.
